Additional Benefits

Active Soil Depressurization (ASD)is the primary method used for radon reduction. Soil gases are drawn from the ground under and around the house. Other soil gases
and moisture are removed along with the radon.

Other soil gases removed by depressurization systems can include volatile organic compounds which can migrate under ground from industrial sites some distance away.

Moisture often causes health and structural problems. Mold and mildew are common in basements and crawl spaces in many homes. Allergies, asthma, emphysema, and a host of other health conditions are often aggravated by constant exposure to mold. Reducing moisture in basements and crawl spaces lowers relative humidity, reduces mold and mildew, and improves respiratory health.

In some cases active soil depressurization is employed for the sole purpose of removing volatile organic compounds from beneath buildings. In other cases ASD has been used solely to reduce moisture

Active soil depressurization will reduce radon, other soil gases, and moisture. What we have here is a single solution with multiple benefits.
